Position Overview:

Dufferin Education is seeking a committed and experienced individual to serve as an Head of School Volunteer. This position is crucial for overseeing the online educational initiatives of Dufferin Education, ensuring the smooth functioning of virtual learning programs, and maintaining high academic standards. The Online Head of School Volunteer will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experience of students in virtual environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership for Dufferin Education’s online educational programs.

Curriculum Development: Collaborate with educators and curriculum specialists to develop engaging and effective online curriculum materials aligned with educational standards.

Staff Management: Oversee and support online teaching staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.

Student Support: Ensure that students receive adequate support services in the online learning environment, addressing their academic and social-emotional needs.

Quality Assurance: Implement processes for monitoring and evaluating the quality of online instruction, assessments, and student outcomes.

Parent and Community Engagement: Foster positive relationships with parents, guardians, and the broader community, keeping them informed and involved in online educational initiatives.

Technology Integration: Work closely with IT personnel to ensure that technology infrastructure supports effective online teaching and learning.

Admissions and Enrollment: Collaborate with admissions teams to facilitate the enrollment process for online students and ensure adherence to enrollment targets.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Prior experience in educational leadership, preferably in online or virtual learning environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to educational equity and excellence.
• Availability to commit to a minimum of 6 months of volunteering.
• Familiarity with online learning platforms and educational technologies.
